Educating the public about raptors — and making it stick.

Protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918

Wildlife Revealed was established in 2009. We are dedicated to a goal of educating the public about Birds of Prey (Raptors) and other beneficial species protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.

We specialize in free-flight bird demonstrations. However, roughly 20% of our education birds have been rescued or rehabilitated and may have impairments preventing them from free flight. These birds may be presented upon a glove or perch in close proximity to our audiences, providing an opportunity to be closer to these magnificent birds than might otherwise be possible in a wilderness setting.

We convey information to our audiences not only in an educational methodology, but in an entertaining manner as well. We believe there should be an element of “fun” while learning about the different species, which may facilitate remembering all of the fascinating facts about them.

There are currently three licensed falconers conducting the educational presentations. They are considered “support staff” to the real stars.

Free Flight Demonstrations

We feature hawks, owls, falcons, vultures, parrots and other colorful and interesting animals. Our programs focus on natural history, unique traits and the natural abilities of these incredible animals — tailored to fit themes, stages and a variety of venues.

What it takes to keep them flying

Our “staff” of birds typically numbers approximately 40 birds at any given time. With varied diets, costs to feed may be anywhere between $5.00 and $16.00 per week, averaging around $10.00 per week per bird.

These numbers do not include the costs of maintaining permits, travel for presentations, veterinary health, support equipment such as crates, mats, gloves, leashes and other safety equipment, cleaning supplies, and the individual living space each bird requires.

Most of our birds are natural enemies to each other in the wild — including birds of the same species — and require a solitary space to themselves. We exceed federal requirements by providing enough space for our birds to get exercise while not traveling for presentation.
